| (Hoping this is the right forum to post this in.....) Wed July 1 Got up late this morning and drove over to St Joe Bay for Scallops.
We found ours in knee- to waist- deep water. Spent 5 hours trudging around and called it a day around 5pm. LOTS of marine life encounters - sea urchins, horseshoe crabs, sting rays, big blue crabs - rays especially are everywhere! Fun day for sure. Will go back for more soon! :D If anyone's heading that way -> From the looks of things today no one had any trouble getting plenty. Cleaning:
Some of the 1st batch:
Snorkeling the grass beds:

^ Port St Joe, Cape San Blas area. We coulda went and bought scallops cheaper than gas + lunch + dinner, but this was too much fun & rewarding knowing we "caught" our own food! lol... PS - I would live in the saltwater if I could.

| Thanks for the report !!!!!!!!!! I thought the bay in Port St. Joe was knee deep everywhere even at high tide ( just kidding ). Looks like they are some pretty decent ones this year. You are right about buying them cheaper but nothing like catching them yourself .
