The edge is an overfished waste land that needs a 5 year rest.  Nothing left, but undersized mingos and ruby lips.

That is the stupidest respone I have ever heard.  The edge produces some great fish...especially in the winter when it doesn't recieve as much pressure and the grouper get on it.  I have had luck with blackfins and wahoo there including a 55lber on a cigar minnow.  We have limited on grouper many times there.  A buddy of mine caught a 90lber on a duster/dead cig.  Not to mention if you were targeting blackfins it would not matter how many mingos are there....It sounds like you really know what you are talking about...nice positive post.

Don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.  I've caught enough fish off the edge to sink your Wellcraft 50 times over.  I was most likely fishing out there before you were born and it ain't near as good as it used to be.

Thats great DFA... I bet by the time im old crusty and salty i will have caught enough to sink my wellcraft too...even though it not as good as it used to be!  If your so great why would you try to discourage someone....half the crap you post is you thinking your awesome instead of giving good advice.  Quit living in the past...your old get over it.

DFA...do you have a better spot to try for Blackfins this time of year at that kind of range?  I realize no matter what I say you will come back with one of your clever one line responses...like your last 564 posts.  So I am trying to tap into some of your knowledge since you are so smart and I am just a dumb Texan...who will never catch as many fish as you.
