My son and I made another trip to Mulat Bayou.

Again we got on the water a little after 7am. Fish were breaking the surface everwhere. We threw spoons & topwater, but whatever they were - they didn't want 'em. We continued on to some broken docks. Jared hooked up right away with a nice Black Drum.

Then we caught a few Rat reds:

and then finally, we boated 2 back-to-back Slot Reds. This one is 20".

Mulat is a nice, calm place that holds some fish. Next week, we're hittin the Bay - looking for some drag screamin' Mackeral!

I'm real glad to hear the fish are moving around there again, it is great place to get out of the wind, depending on tides and time of year.

I know those pylons well!

KEEP AN OCCASSIONAL RED HERE AND THERE FOR DINNER, BUT FOR
THE REST, PRACTICE HEALTHY CATCH & RELEASE TECHNIQUES
SAVE SOME FOR THE FUTURE!
