A friend of mine has a 10hp 4 stroke tohitsu (sp) that is not acting right.  he just changed the plugs, cleaned out the tank and added fresh fuel and a new fuel filter.  he went out today to test it out and see how she ran.  on his way out it ran great...boat got on plane and ran good.  said he stopped for a few and tilted the motor up so he could get in a shallow area with the TM...when he went to leave he tilted the motor back down and fired it up...said it idled just like normal but when he went to take off he couldnt get on plane.  said he didnt move anything around in the boat so the weight balance was exactly the same.  i suggested running some seafoam in the gas because i have read here where several of you say that will help clean out dirty carbs.  my thinking was some trash got moved around in the carbs when he tilted it up causing it to not deliver fuel correctly.  he has some staybil in the fuel...will adding seafoam cause any problems???  any other ideas as to what the problems are???  if you need to know more info just let me know and ill call him and ask.  Thanks in advance for the help!

Check the stator high side if the fuel cleanup don't work.

Kenny would be a good guy to get in touch with to get that stator checked. He sure knows how to sell a boat too!
