had some friends in town, so we took a little ride out about 10 miles or so on tue got lots of small grouper, a cut off and a few 16 to 22 inch red snapper in a real short run. easy day thanks to the live bait boat, what a great deal. then thursday went out early for my birthday to try and pic up some kings at the three mile bridge. did not get any live bait right away, so i decided to try some lures that have been staring at me from my tackle bag. trolled for a bit towards the port with no luck, so we picked up an ran to coast guard station and put out the lines and what do ya know, i had my buddy take the helm and went to the stern for some reason and we got our first strike. From then on we got a just legal grouper and two nice kings,

there were tons of spanish every where and schools of bull reds. we left them biting, back to the marina before one

‘‘Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.’’ — Jefferson's "Commonplace Book," 1774-1776, quoting from On Crimes and Punishment, by criminologist Cesare Beccaria, 1764 Team "Reel Naughty" 2007 Pirate's tourny
