Tell me about boiling peanuts, I love to eat them. I have heard do not buy raw peanuts to boil, buy green. What is the differance?

| Fresh raw = Green. About 3 cups salt per 10 pounds. Boil them till they are done to your taste. May have to soak them for a while or add a pile of ice to make them soak up salt. Careful doing that. Gotta keep sampling till they get the right amount of salt. It can get too salty real easy this way...

The Jay peanut fest is usually the 1st week of Oct. I believe. They should be flowing pretty good before then.
If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he will accept it even on the slightest evidence. The origin of myths is explained in this way. - Bertrand Russell
