| I'd have to say the Rolling Stones at Auburn back in the late 60's. Warm up act was Chuck Berry. A close second would be Jethro Tull who I saw several times in the 70's. The Allman Brothers were also great back in the day. (I couldn't find an appropriate emoticon for my choices) :-)

I am not into country music as much as I used to be but the most fun I ever had at a show was on the beach at Camp Pendleton, CA, Steve Holy, Rascal Flats, Brooks and Dunn. Those guys love the military and put on a hell of a show that night. Steve Holy opened and when he sang Good Morning Beautiful the sun was setting over the Pacific Ocean, awesome. The Coors Light Twins were the Emcees that night and they got booed off stage. I never thought I would see two hot chicks get booed on a military base but those girls were D-U-M-B!

| Pearl Jam in New Orleans I think it was 1995. Went to two out of the three shows. Early Lollapalooza's in New Orleans were great too. (fishbone, red hot chili peppers, ice cube, rage against the machine, del la soul, tons of others.) Most unusual would have to be El Vez, the mexican Elvis at Sluggos downtown. It was very Entertaining.

Well , the 1st concert I ever saw in my life was the Elvis Presley "Blue Hawaii" live album when I was a kid in Hawaii ... my 2nd concert was Iron Maiden in High School ... quite the contrast , huh ?? ... back on topic : The 1st Lollapaloozas ( Orlando and N.O. ) , and that same Pearl Jam show in N.O. , back in '95 , the next 2 bands at THAT show were Smashing Pumpkins , and RHCP as the headliner ... BAD A$$ show !!!!! ... HORD fest in Atlanta ... Warped Tour shows in Panama City , Tampa and Melbourne ... Journey 2 weeks ago was one of the best too ... and I also saw that El Vez show at Sluggo's back in the day ... El Vez will be at The House of Blues in the coming month

Pink Floyd-Division Bell Tour in Birmingham,it was AWESOME.The interstate traffic was at a standstill going into town and was jammed with people walking between cars selling t-shirts ON THE INTERSTATE that is how packed it was.I believe it was 1994 amd performed at legendary Legion Field. Bush live at Club lA VELA IN THE RAIN...awesome show! 1995. Saw Ted Nugent and Ian Moore in 1994 another good one and Lynerd Skynerd was cool to. I have seen lots of shows but these were memorable and the mind altering substances enhanced Pink Floyds show.

| I've seen KISS about eight times so probably the Pensacola show since I had front row. Surprisingly, Matchbox 20 in Bham about 10 years ago put on one of the best concerts I've ever seen. They had to have played for three hours. Allman Brothers, Dave Mathews and Buffett are always fun. I got to see Chuck Berry and it was great to see the legend play as old as he was.

Are you talking about the very first concert @ the civic center with KISS and Krokus? that was a great concert. I can't belive I did'nt mention Pink Floyd in Franfurt Germany back in the early 90's also a great show.Thats one of the things about getting old you forget some of the coolest things you have done until someone like the poll master here starts you thinking. Thanks for kick'n my brain into gear again.

Toss up between Elvin Presley in his come back tour, took place at the University of Alabama and Neil Diamond and his Hot August Night tour. Both are great talents in their day, but even greater showmen.

Man, I forgot how many I've seen. Hard to say best, I saw Heart on Ft. Walton beach which was cool. Hank at Oak Mt. amphitheater was a wild party that carried over to the hotels. Walked out of Billy Squire/Ratt it was aweful. I've seen several bands on dates, Lover Boy, Huey Lewis, Rick Springfield etc. which all turned out to be very good. Don't bash me for that last group, I've seen many of the legendary rock bands also, some good, some so so.

| Johnny Cash in Laurel, Ms. in 1968. His career was in the tank after years of drug abuse and no-shows and there were less than 200 people there. It was eight weeks after he recorded the live album at Folsom, about four months before it was released and about two weeks after he married June. He drove his own bus, had no roadies, and the sound system didn't work, yet he put on the best show I've ever seen him do and I've seen over 100. Afterwards, backstage, he told me about his to-be-released Folsom album and spoke with all the confidence in the world about the come-back he knew the album would cause. A year later he was selling out large venues, on the verge of having his own TV show and in 1969 sold more records than even the Beatles and the Stones.

murphyslaw (8/20/2008) Hands down the best was Faith no more, Metallica, and Guns n roses. It was in the early 90's in New Orleans.Saw the same concert in the Citrus Bowl. A buddy of mines stepdad was a higher-up with the Citrus Bowl and got us SkyBox tickets. Awsome show. Can't remember how we got home. I slept 3 hours at a rest stop on I-4 on the way home to Tampa the next day.

| Debbie Gibson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was usually wasted or high at the concerts so I can't tell ya. . All I know is White Snake sucks live. Saw them with Dokken,Scorps I was praying for them to be the last act. (Hated them) But they were the first. Went out in the lobby and drank a bunch of beers until Scorpions came out to rock you like a hurricane.

Does anyone remember REM playing here at DMZ? It was when they were 1st starting and there was only 5 or so people there.

| My senior year in college, 2000, Willie Nelson came and played the Tuscaloosa Crawfish Fest. By far the best atmosphere I have ever been in. Sitting on the edge of the Black Warrior river, cold beer, hot crawfish and Willie Nelson singing all his classics. He even finished off with Sweet Home - the place went nuts!
