A couple of months ago I started getting up and exercising every morning and trying to do the same thing every night.  My wife and I started walking a couple of miles and now we go about 5 miles when we walk.  But, I have gotten into this, and I feel great.  I run and walk broken up 5 miles each morning, this morning it took me 1 hour and 8 minutes to go the 5 miles, which is down from around 1 hour and 25 minutes a couple of weeks ago.  When I started a couple of months ago, I weighed 257, this morning I weighed 226, and like I said feel great.

In high school I was in very good shape, but not since then.  I have enjoyed the way I feel and look forward to each morning run/walk, and getting better.  I don't know if I can get back to the shape I was in back in high school, but I think I can get close.  If I do or don't I don't guess it really matters, but it is cool to feel better and have the energy that I already feel.

Has anyone else gotten back to their teenage body/shape?

Trying right now myself.  Out of highschool I weighed in at 285.  I could easily bench my own weight, and jog a mile non stop (slowly....lol)but now I'm well over that and nowhere near benching my own weight but I'm working on it.......damn that little debbie and her tasty treats!

During college baseball, I was a mean 215lbs.  Now I weigh in @ 270.  A little tough to get back to that without an a$$hole yelling at you to keep going.  Great job on your weight loss, keep it going, got a before and after pic?

I for one DO NOT want to get back to my teenage body.

I am not a tall person. I have been 5'6" tall since I was 15 and I currently weigh 180. The most I have weighed is 205 and I am still working to get down to 170. When I graduated High School I weighed 123 soaking wet. Then I joined the best exercise program in the world, Marine Corps Boot Camp. When I graduated from Parris Island I weighed 133 with six pack abs and buns of steel. Well 13 years later I have a keg and a Charmin butt. The more weight I lose the better I feel but I don't want to be that skinny again and 6 pack abs are for guys in their 20s. I will be happy at 170. The medical people say that is still too heavy for my height but I have a stocky build.

Sadly enough I do have some pics that would show before and of course it is easy to take the after.

If I post them someone might want to send me money to sponser me......

I still workout 3 x week (at 38) and have the muscle I had as a college weightlifter - however, I do not have the lack of bodyfat at that age (dang). So, I look pretty good "with my shirt on" meaning I still got decent arms, shoulders, etc. but do have a little roll around the midsection when I go shirtless. But hey, I am married now so who cares? I would have to give up the beer, ribs, etc. to get back that way and am in better shape than 90% of my friends.

Joined the Y and started working out this summer. Not loosing as much as I would like I ,guess you really have to EAT LESS and exercise. But feeling much better than I did.

The best shape I was ever in had to be after two-a-days my senior year, but probably when I was a sophomore in college. During that summer I oaded and unloaded furniture off 18 wheelers in a hot ass warehouse from 8:00am to 4:30pm then some friends of mine would all meet up and water ski until it got dark.then we would drink beer all night and start the process over again the next morning. We were water skiing every single day and all day on the weekends. I was in incredible shape for sure.

I used to swim competively for years (since I was 8) into high school(we swam alittle over 3 miles in 1 hr 15min.), then I went to heck and got married ......

My daughter found some pictures of me when I first got married.....and couldn't believe I had 6pack abs....I wish I could swim now like I used to.....it is great exercise....I even saved a guys life at a local freeway pond that I would swim (10 times over and back)over a .10 of a mile one way and would swim at a local beaches where my wife worked for her mother.

Now work and my land is the only exercise I get....that sometimes is enough.

good luck with your exercise program ....it really means the most if you are enjoying it....

hey at 52 I'm not doing to bad....I can work circles around most young guys, and have no problems with the hills at our cabin.

when i was a junior in high school. i weighed 165, squatting 500 and benching damn near twice my body weight. i was all state track that year too. second semester of my senior year everything went down hill. went from 165 to eventually top out at 237. i am now back in the 180's, but hope to get back down even more.

I used to have a six pack 4 years ago, now I got a KEG. Best shape I was in was 175lbs benching 245 and running the 2 miles barely under 10 min.
I couldn't even bench my own weight now... I am probably 185, no muscle mass left to speak of...
I need to do something; I am still young, and already have high blood pressure. My wife shows me pictures of that six pack once in a while...

Wish I could get back into the shape I was in when in the military. We would do company PT and a 2-4 mile run every morning..then in the evenings, the REACT team I ran(24 man Combat Team responsible for security of the Tactical Operations Center and area recon) would grab packs loaded to 65 lbs and weapons and do more PT and run 5-7 miles...poor M-60 gunners had a load.

After I got out, I had a neighbor with a badass Dobie who kept me in shape...but after the Dobie died, the neighbor got a Chihuahua..and he just couldn't chase me fast enough or far enough to do me any good...so the running was out.

Life is too short to skip fishing.

Definitely when I framed houses for 3 years after Ivan. Unfortunately it was also the worst shape I've ever been in.

Either my junior year of high school during wrestling season or right after college playing 7's Rugby for Old White in Atlanta.  Pretty up and down since then but I guess  that's probabaly obvious by my signature

This morning the same five miles -- One hour and 7 minutes

The same fat body                    -- 224.5lbs  could be water weight, but I am proud none the less.

I am sore though.

When I was sponsored and competing ... Surfed NSSA and a few PSAA events in California , then did ESA in Florida for years ... used to run 5 to 8 games a night of full court B-Ball at NAS back in the day , or 3 sets of Tennis a night as my training , other than Surfing and Skating ... my competitive weight was around 165 lbs. , at 5'6" ... since then , I've grown an inch (5'7") , and gained a shoe size (10) , and my current weight is now 180 :( ... I STILL throw buckets in the water though ... just bigger buckets ;)

College.

I was c-u-t. Everyday I surfed, swam, walked 2 miles to & from class, played an hour or two of tennis at night, and of course fished & went to the gym. I was in the best shape of my life & so happy! There was ALWAYS something athletic-related outdoors to do. Now I'm trying to lose the 5-10lbs I gained after I moved here (this area is a much slower pace than what I'm used to!!!)...
