| Hello to all, My name is cole tarnok, my parents recently moved to the gulf breeze area from Picayune,Ms (about 45 minutes north of New Orleans). Anyway i have been coming down to see them every weekend or so and am looking to pick up on some techniques and decent spots to fish in the area. Fishing here is alot different than LA and MS. Pensacola actually has clean water that is not all muddy and shallow. On the mississippi sound, you can go out a 1/2 mile and only be in 4-8 ft of water. Pensacola, hell, 100 yards out it seems to be much deeper than that. Anyway if there is any advise yall can give me then please do. I am really just tryingto find some good spots so i can take out my father who loves to fish but has no friends here. The only place we know to fish is the peir/bridge going to pensacola beach by the toll booth. And we havent had any luck. Anyway im going to try to frequent the forum as often as i can and try to pick up pointers, I hope i dont annoy you with stupid questions. thanks, cole

| i think he's looking to catch fish, but i might be mistaken on a serious note....wade naval live oaks in gulf breeze....throw top water lures early in the morning, suspending baits once the sun comes up a little, back to surface lures in the afternoon

| Yep.... I'm definitely looking to catch fish...lol. where im from all we have inshore is specks, reds, black drum, small blacktip shark, flounder, and of course croakers. And im totally down for catching those in FL. But i would also like to catch some mackeral and other game fish that i would usually have to go offshore to find. In MS we have to go out 25 miles to get ANY Kings, cobia, and etc, in fl they are catching them inshore. Just looking for a few pointers, thats it.
