Mitch and I got a late start this a.m (thanks to KONZ and the beach sharking ). the water slick and weather HOT with NO breeze to be found. But good day of fishing. mitch struck it rich with the bait net and we headed out. All fish were caught on cut bait....couldn't even give finger mullet away> But we finally started getting white trout. bunch of crokers, topsails, squeelers and sharks galore We had a double shark hook up once and that was fun watching us run over each other with the black tips doing their jumps and flips. Brought the one home for grilling. (when we first got to the bridge, saw someone swimming behind their boat--guess they weren't catching sharks YET>)

Sounds great, I would really like to get out there and fish Garcon. What is the best launch to use that is close to the pace area, and a realitively short boat trip to the bridge?

There is a Garcon point boat ramp and your boat is the perfect size to use it. Just be aware that it can be shallow on a low tide.......but your boat should be fine.

Just got it and haven't launched anywhere yet, but will be going there tomorrow morning (I hope).

It is narrow and like Ray said it is shallow and has no dock to pull up to and tie off. I would go over to archie glover by I-10 and launch. It's not that bad of a run from there and you can fish the TT while your over by archie. Good luck

We have launched a 25' center console their once but barely and I mean barely had enough water to float the thing once passed the launch. The last time I was there they did install a small dock along the sea wall. But like Joel said, if it's the first time you have launched....I would use Archie Glover.

Archie Glover is a good launch. but depending where you were coming from, i wouldn't discount the GB launch end of 3 mile. It isn't perfect but a straight shot and can fish 3 mile, Butcher Pin cove, and work way to Garcon. HOpe to see ya there. Just dont get in my way this weekend
