I have yet to have one in any home I have owned, but one soon will have a Man Room that is mine to do as I please with everything about it.  I want an old couch, large flat screen (for College Football), Fridge, Pool Table, Outside Shower, and all kinds of assorted sporting goods (storage).

What all would you have in a dedicated Man Room in or in the backyard at your home?

It would definately resemble a bar room. A Juke box that takes money, dart board, posters of girls from gaff magazine, and probably taxidermy like a trophy room from all sorts of memories throughout my life.

Recliner, TV, Stereo, fireplace, outdoor kitchen off to the side and a bathroom with no feminine hygene products in it.

Your right and that is funny.  I like the fireplace too.

To go along with the bathroom/feminine products stuff, one of my buddies in Germany lived off post and the place he rented had a urinal in the bathroom of the home. I have thought since then that was neat and would like to have one in my bath so the wife can't fuss about the seat. Don't suppose that really is about a "Man Room", but something I would like nonetheless.

As for the man room, since I have been married my wife and I have always had at least 2 bedrooms where we lived and most of the time the spare bedroom was my man room. While I was in service, that is where I kept all my uniforms, out of our room. The standing rule was this: That is my room to do with as I please, that means, no rearranging of furniture, no decorating, no nothing that I didn't want. Now the downside to that, was that was my room to clean as well. When we got a dog, I wanted it outside (upbringing - no pets in house period!!) and she wanted Dixie inside (upbringing - dogs only went out to use the potty), I used to get FURIOUS very quickly when I found/saw Dixie in my man room. As a joke, my wife went to the store and bought me a "No Trespassing" sign and used a magic marker to write the following on it: He-Man Woman Haters Room! - No Women, No Dogs Allowed (I still have that sign 8 years later). When my wife became pregnant about three years ago, I had to say goodbye to my man room to make a place for my son's room. Some sweet day, I will have me another man room and when I get it, there will be a big plaque that will go on my door stating "No Women, No Dogs without express consent from owner". As for the decorating, I have some nice Civil War Prints and a few plaques from my military service that were up in my last room. Since then, my wife and paw-in-law took the head from the first buck I killed on his lease (7 pt. - to me the first racked buck), had it mounted, and gave it to me for father's day last year. That will definitely go in the next man room.

Mine would be a garage with all of the tools I can use to work on wood, metal and vehicles. I guess a nice stereo would be good in there.
