On Monday, the bay was slick calm but when I went out of the pass, the seas were very sloppy, white caps on the shoals. rough surf, big swells, most likely due to the hurricaine that went ashore in Texas. I dont remember ever encountering such a difference in conditions, so had to cancel my offshore trip. The Bay conditions fooled me.
Can anyone give me a report of how it was offshore Wednesday, yesterday???
Thanks.......
AJ

it was rolly in the morning really not to bad once you got away from the pass. around noon it wasnt bad at all. the afternoon ride back home hurt. it was choppy 3 feet and we were going right into them. could only do about 15 mph. slow going. like telum piscis said always keep a eye on the bouy reports, but also remember it can change out there in a minute.
