I am coming from the Pace area and was wondering which would be the best boat ramp for me to use to access the Santa Rosa Sound.  Havent fished there yet but going to try it Saturday.  Also, is there anywhere in that area to buy live shrimp?

Saturday is not going to be a good day to go to the closest boat ramps to the sound because of the Blue Angels Show.

It would depend on what size boat you have and where you want to go in the sound.

There are a couple of ramps in Gulf Breeze out toward Villa Venice on the sound. (Bay Street)

Or there is always Shoreline. But coming from Pace, you might be better off just going to Navarre and putting in at the ramp by Juana's.

If you want to avoid some of the traffic, go to the woodlawn beach boat ramp.

It's not the best by far (be carefeull backing in, the concrete ends suddenly.) but it should be the least crowded. Gulf Breeze b&T will be on your way unless you come down Garcon, then go to Angler's Outlet. I think they have shrimp?

Your right about this being the wrong weekend. The Navarre option sounds good.  Is that access off of 87?  Hows the fishing in the Santa Rosa Sound?  I have not been having much luck in Escamia river and bay these past few weeks.

Would Yellow River area be a good option?

I've been to Oriole Beach Boat ramp - free - not the best ramp I've been to, but not bad.
