I caught one around a bait school on the sandbars yesterday. I don't know about other places, haven't really been fishing for them.

been tearing them up on spoons and gotchas. look for schooling baitfish and cast into it. then just "walk the dog." try different size and color spoons to see what works best where you are. for me it's a silver spoon...hope this helps.

For the last three days or so they have been coming by the pier at wayside park(southeast side of bay the bridge) in the afternoon.  They'll eat just about anything there.  People were catching them on live bait, gotchas, x-raps, you name it.

If they're feeding, they'll eat everyting you throw. Caught a few on a piece of a t-shirt on a jighead once just to see if I could.

If you want Spanish, hit the beach pier with a few white jigs and some small diamond jigs and a 40-pound flouro leader (or straight to 35+ braid) and have fun.

Why didn't I think of that? I've caught a few on pull tabs.

They've been schooling near AL Point in the morning.

beach pier in the draw throw out half a cig with a #4 hook to 20lb seven strand with a swivel. was killing them the other day but my ride arrived after i landed two but i was getting hits every cast. my friend couldnt figure out why i was getting them and he wasnt so i told him just throw half one out and let it sit. he made a pretty funny cast that went about 10ft off the side of the pier(he had a broken arm) and before he could close the bail a spanish nailed it. the guy next to him had this spanish following a lure then it saw my friends bait swam up grabbed it and turned around and shot off. he didnt even know he had it on till i yelled at him to hurry up and shut the bail that u dont freespool for 30 seconds.

I went out saturday morning (7-12) and was trying to catch bait around the pass and caught seven. One was 20 inches. We were catching them two at a time on those cheap little spec rigs you buy at walmart. Heres a pic of them. Oh yeah we caught a few red snapper offshore also.
