       does anyone have experience with navionics platinum and if so what is your opinion about it.

There are a few upgrades in the platinum vs gold. The 3D is "neat" but for me useless. The Port picutres and views are handy and useful IMO. My card is for the E series RayMarine monitors. If you intend on using it with RM then for sure download and install the latest software verison.   BBob
