talked to capt paul on the snapper trapper this afternoon and said that he got caught in that storm also. he said that in all his years on the water he had never seen it get that rough in that short of a time span.he said that they in about 2 foot seas and he felt a cool wind and within 3 to 5 minutes it 12 to 14 ft. hell on the water. everyone is ok and minimal damage to the boat, but you could hear it in his voice that it was a hell of a ride. he said that he was going home to hug his wife and kids and get right with god. glad everyone is o k .

live by faith not by sight!!

I absolutely believe it.  my 8 year old daughter doesn't even want to talk about our journey through the storm this afternoon  anymore.   I am glad that capt'n Paul made it back in.  I actually met him a couple of months ago at Daybreak.  Really nice guy!

Tonight my wife and I were talking about the whole situation, we were okay with ditching the boat, we were just worried about keeping the kids with us and them not floating off after we ditched the boat...we are developing new family safety plans.

We got hammered in it also about 25 miles out.. I swear the winds were 60 knots and seas were huge.. our welds broke on our radar mount plate! Was good to see the bay a few hrs later!

I told my wife we should have headed south before we went north.  I guess since you were 25 miles out, heading south would not have worked either.

I was out in the backyard this morning...I have NEVER seen the straight line winds come like that before...

I could SEE the winds come as they brought so much debris...it was something to see and made me SO glad I was on land

The very fact you posted is good news!!
