Went out to the beach early yesterday afternoon to see what the water looked like and try to catch some bait. The sargasm weed had moved out and the lady fish were everywhere. After wading out and hooking probably 30 lady fish I managed to land 3 Bang Head

to use for bait last night.

We set up in our usual spot about 8pm and fished until 11pm or so. Landed these two guys, we also had 5 or 6 other runs but we couldn't get those hooked up.

This is the first one we caught, his first run was pretty impressive espcially for his size

This was the last fish of the night, he was still a little green by the time we beached him. I think we all got tail whipped at least once by him.

i can honestly say, you make my ass hurt. Me and konz, yankee, yankee2 set up at chicken bone last night at 6 pm....ran numerous baits out....stayed till 130am...didnt get a damn thing.

Thats wierd we weren't too far from you guys at all and it seemed like we had a rod go off every 20 minutes or so. Shoot me a PM next time you guys go and we will all have to get up and go together. What kind of bait were you guys using?

We were using mullet......all we had were a few short runs. I think the major problem was crabs. I put out a HUGE whole mullet and pulled it in 10 minutes later and all but the head was gone.........we will deff. have to get up some time.

We've had the best luck with fresh lasy fish cut in half. We've used bonita too but it seems to be like crack for the crabs. The two sharks we caught last night took baits that we dropped pretty close to shore too. We had a 9/0 way out but it only had one short run the whole night.
