This one is going to be short, I am beat . We left Boggy Point around 1am this morning and arrived at the Beer Can shortly before daylight, it was a nice night for a long boat ride, although at times a little bumpy. The plan was to chunk for awhile but the Sun was cracking on the horizon so we got the trolling gear ready. As daylight came we could see the water was beautiful just as we had anticipated, The Tunas put on a good show as we saw many of them skying at first light but they had a case of lock jaw. We could not get them to eat .Moved on to the Marlin rig and saw lots of jumpers there too, but the results were the same, LockJaw! Around 8am we made a pass around the floater right next to the Marlin and Wham! The Port rigger starts singing, its a nice whitie. We get him to the boat and he spit the hook and swam away healthy. Lines back in and on the second pass about midway between Marlin and the floater we pick up a 20lb cow dolphin. There was lots of bait and Tuna busting all over and it looked like the action was about to get hot, but that was it for the rest of the day except for a couple of barracuda and a king. Later in the morning about 6 miles SW of Petronus we came upon a huge commotion in the water, it looked like a hot tub. It was bonita being rounded up by what looked by the tail and dorsal fin to be a very nice blue! We made multiple passes but he ignored our baits in favor of the bonita buffett he had assembled. The water got blue/green at Petronus and clean green North of Petronus and then dirty green about 10 miles North of Petronus. South of Petronus and around the Marlin and Beer Can the water was gorgeous. Very slow day, but any day I catch mr pointy nose is a good day!

| Yeah I was out there wed. night and live bait was the only answer. But your right, they were very skittish and we had to work hard for ours.
