i went out this morning to the eglin beach club on okaloosa island in hopes of catching some pomps. i started fishing at around 10:30 am and after about 15mins my rod bends over. after a nice little fight i pulled out a nice red just barely under 27inches. After that i only got one other bite which i missed. A guy next to me caught a small shark and a blow fish. The surf was a little rough so i was using a double drop rig with a 4 ounce weight.
