We ate a lot of shark fried and fed it to a bunch of folks who "didn't eat shark." A 24" speck is a damn good fish. Congrats.  :clap</description><pubDate>Sat, 05 Jul 2008 09:41:53 GMT</pubDate><dc:creator>seapro</dc:creator></item><item><title>escambia bay</title><link>http://www.pensacolafishingforum.com/fishingforum/Topic139880-15-1.aspx</link><description>this is gonna be a long post lol&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;well took the boat out for the day hoping for a slam. went over toward jims first and picked up two flounder and a few dinky reds and specks. i caught some menhaden and mullet and headed to a few spots looking for the specks and reds. got to the first spot through out one of the menhaden not 5 min later a nice 24" speck. so im thinkin i got this slam in the bag. hit the rest of the spots and ended up catchin  dinky reds and specks with two of the specks being 20" and 21" :banghead well it was gettin late so i headed to macky cove for a last ditch effort for the red. i was throwin a chart spinnerbait and hooked a nice red got him up to the boat and the hook pulled:banghead. so i anchored up and set rods out with drags loose and all. two at the bow [one with mullet on surface and one on bottem with menhaden] and two at stern. was there about 30 min when one rod off the bow starts screamin. i set the hook  and fight whatever it was for about 5 sec and it goes dead. i bring it back in, the 15lb leader was destroyed so i rerig with heavier leader. all of a sudden the rod at the back starts screamin, bows over and goes overboard. i jump in after my rod and right before i hit the water i see the 8 ft bull shark that has my rod no more than 20 yards from me, being followed by 4 more little ones. well rod lost i get my rear end back in the boat as quick as i can. right as i get back in the boat the rod i rerigged bows over. i set the hook and after fightin for a little while i end up with a 2 1/2 ft bull shark.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;well after that i called it a day. i lost a slam, a rod, and thats the closest ive ever been and ever want to be to that size shark again. i had heard little sharks were good eatin but when i got home he had turned all bloody red on the bottom and smelled horrible so he became fertilizer. what happened to him???&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;well heres some pics&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG src="http://www.pensacolafishingforum.com/fishingforum/Uploads/Images/d53e23e0-aa8e-4e1d-afb6-d4a2.JPG"&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG src="http://www.pensacolafishingforum.com/fishingforum/Uploads/Images/0233138e-3226-4bb0-9d4a-fc39.JPG"&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG src="http://pensacolahuntingforum.com/fishingforum/Uploads/Images/caa54ec3-3ac3-43cb-8694-10d2.JPG"&gt;</description><pubDate>Fri, 04 Jul 2008 22:57:44 GMT</pubDate><dc:creator>snakeman14</dc:creator></item></channel></rss>
