| I actually caught a gag grouper today. That makes two since snapper season closed. I was sitting on the Paradise hole playing with the snapper since there were no porpoise around. Just chunking with menhaden hoping a black snapper would show up but just one red snapper after another. The chum was dropping straight down and I guess this grouper came up in the water column to get it. No sinker and a small circle hook buried in the piece of menhaden. Not a bad grouper either he measured 30 inches. I didn't catch any triggerfish just one filefish. Beautiful afternoon seas were maybe 1 to 2 out of the southeast. Fish came just in time since my sister is flying for a few days this afternoon. So grouper is back on the menu.
