Went out a few hours today to kick off the Fall... (nice weather!)

Picked up a dozen or so small pinfish & pigfish and threw them in the livewell. Anchored in our spot beside the Stand Buy (who CONSTANTLY stayed hooked up today, 2 and 3 at a time!!). Put the baits down and drum ate them up. There were LOTS of redfish out there today! We came on in after we ran out of live baits. (They didn't seem to want frozen cigs today.)

That's a fattie for sure, good catch!

KEEP AN OCCASSIONAL RED HERE AND THERE FOR DINNER, BUT FOR
THE REST, PRACTICE HEALTHY CATCH & RELEASE TECHNIQUES
SAVE SOME FOR THE FUTURE!

Nice fish and report. My neighbor and I went out this past Saturday, got out of the pass but way too rough so surfed back in. Should have known when we saw the charter boats trolling north of Crab Island and parked along the bridge. Ended up camping out at the Destin Bridge for an hour or so. Probably saw 10-15 redfish caught while we were there by the other boats. All on live bait I believe with an outgoing tide.

We didnt have any live pin fish, had got some reallll small shrimp from Harbor  Docks, so used it. Was able to get one red. No luck on cut bait or dead shrimp, not even a catfish.

Will have to try to get out there again with some pinfish.
