throwin a lure off the dock yesterday.  dont usually catch to much in the back of bayou grande.  maybe a few rat reds or some speck and only a couple if you are just fishin in one spot.  yesterday in 5 minutes time throwing in the same spot caught my first spanish mac in the bayou, then caught a blue fish, then caught a ladyfish, then caught a speck, then caught a little jack all in 5 minutes in one spot wow!!!  they were working the menhaden.  must have something to do with ike?

Not too bad for only 5 minutes of casting! That's more than I caught the last time I went out in the boat. And I was out for 3 hours!

Nice, thanks for the report. I think I may go out in the bay inlets friday afterwork. Looks like the storms have effected the fishing in a good way.

That is nice for the back of BG. I have fished the bayou since growing up and it is still one of my favorite places to spend a few early morning hours

I fished my local bayou yesterday (where I rarely catch anything) and caught 5 small reds. The tidal surge must be helping.
