For all you that may be like me....    I can go into BestBuy and spend many hours (money if I had it)....I was just in the one at Cordova yesterday and looked at the GPS units and low and behold there was a Garmin (fishfiner only) for 89.00 (? which model).  I asked a sales guy about more advanced equiptment and he told me a few stores carry a wide aray marine electronics to see how they'll sell, and that they should get more by next month so keep them eyes peeled...

2 weeks ago I was there and to my complete surprise found a Garmin 140 FF for $84. I had to snap it up, as my Humminbird is crapping out. I believe it said "closeout" on the tag. I've heard Best Buy sucks service wise... but Garmin has a good rep. and the unit gets very good reviews. Not as fancy feature wise as the HB, but I don't really need a $500 3D FF (I mostly fish inshore)! Heck, HB wanted almost $140 to "rebuild" the old one!
