Default Daily Scripture

Jeremiah 17:9-10

The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”

I don't catch it every day but do enjoy the daily scripture. Thanks for taking the time to do this and remind all that we need to be ever mindful the "Big Guy" is always out there with His hand of Grace and Compassion. We need Him in our lives every day.

For grace are we saved, not by works for any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8 I believe. Romans is also good about justification. We get God's grace we don't deserve it or earn it, the thief at the cross just believed in Jesus and Christ said today you will be with me in paradise. We just need to believe in our heart and confess with our mouth that Jesus is our savior that is the only way to heaven.

So a person in the middle of the Amazon, with no interaction with Christianity is doomed and can't get to heaven?

Default Good question

So a person in the middle of the Amazon, with no interaction with Christianity is doomed and can't get to heaven?

That's a good question. How would you approach this?

I believe our Lord knows when someone has been offered the word and refuses to listen is different from one that has never been delivered the word. Therefore the examination of the heart and deeds would apply to such a person.
