Default Lost lure leads to larger Specks

Finally washed the recent skunk off of me:

Was thinking about paddling out this afternoon while on the way home from work. Called an old friend and talked fishing, which put me in the mindset even more. Think I might've even got God's blessing on the trip also, since it turned out great. Was on my way up to a spot that had some action before, but quit halfway and tried a new spot. Heading there was downwind and I really didn't feel like battling the wind back so picked a little cut that looked good. Got a few hits, but only one keeper. Got snagged and lost my jig, so tried tying on a different colored head that I hadn't tried before. First cast "Wham!" 20 incher, few more casts..same thing but 19 1/2". Ended up with a full stringer ranging from 16 1/2 - 20 inches. Left home at 2pm back by 5:30 pm. Great day. So when in doubt, call old friends, lose a lure but don't get mad, and sometimes just go where the wind leads ya'... Just might get a blessing out of it.

Time to clean some fish....

That's a nice stringer of fish. I think this is going to be an awesome year for big trout. It's just a hunch, but I figure the warmer water temps let them feed more actively than usual through the winter. Let's hope so.

You are the man Sammy! This mild weather killed my trout hole. They all must be up your way. I'm on the beach for the next couple of months. Come catch some Pompano with me.

God bless you my friend.
