Got out on the water around 245pm the see if the flats had gotten active yet. Was in Choctawhatchee Bay. Immediately saw an unreal amount of mullet jumping all around. Water was clear, tide was incoming, and the water temp was 70 degrees on the dot. Threw my favorite search bait (17MR) in black back to match the hatch a little bit. About 5 or 6 casts in I got slammed. I was using my smallest out of all the set ups I brought (shimano stradic 1000 with 10lb braid and 10lb leader) so I really had to be patient. After chasing her around in the yak for about 20 minutes, netted this beauty. She went 37 inches and 19 pounds.

Ended up missing a ton on topwater toward the end of the afternoon, but did manage to get a couple short trout as well.
