I knew somebody had a camera out there!
Would you mind giving us some details?.....not to complain...but ....a close up shot would have been good, also where, when, what.
A sample is always a good idea, if you can get one.
We are the ones out on the water , lets get details, and move them on to the press....I've got some good numbers, just let me know.
If this stuff is floating around, we need to keep it in the news so that it's not swept under the rug.
Complaining about it on the forum will only go so far.....need to do something about it.

That looks like a broken up hay bail like they were using in La. It sure isn't Sargasso.

I know I'll take some hits for this but.....

Sorry, but with no documentation your report does nothing but stir up emotions. It does no good, as a matter of fact it diminishes any effort to get any response to a credible report documented with verifiable pictures and hard evidence brought to the authorities.

This was/is a creditable report. There was USCG people along with a parson's person onboard. This tested positive for petro products when we were there, as conducted by trained personnel. The CTEC (Don't ask what it stands for, because I don't know) people arrived on scene and tested it as well, they drifted off and my boat went on to complete the assigned tasks. NoKaOi, This is the same stuff the beach clean-up crews were cleaning off the beach behind portofino several days back. Does this clear it up any for you? This was reported all the way to the command center in Mobile.

What other type of "hard evidence" do you want? Are you an authority figure? If so I may be able to assist you in your efforts.

Thank you Jim for adding the hard credible information that was lacking in the original report. Your input was from a prior incident.

Like I said someone would take exception to my comments.

I'm having a hard time figuring out the 'tone' of this.

funny...I fished Naval Live Oaks on Saturday (9/4) and on Wednesday (9/8) with a lot of success...I didn't see any oil. I did see a lot of dead grass and pine straw though...

boat was clean of oil too when I washed it down - maybe it's the Corexit?
