"The tanker’s owner, Taiwanese shipping firm TMT Group and CEO and founder Nobu Su, ordered the tanker to be retrofitted in Portugal as a skimmer after the GOM (Gulf of Mexico) oil spill. It then immediately sailed to the Gulf, and arrived June 30th, ready for action… never waiting for a contract commitment from BP, or contacting the US regulation agencies for compliance"

Americans use to be like that. We didn't wait for Big Brother to tell us what we should and could do. We figured that out ourselves and then sent those that represented us to the various seats of government to make sure it happened. But that was long ago..

Do you really think this thing would be operating without the governments consent? You guys must not think much of our Coast Guard if you think this would be the case.

Oil Spill Skimmer
Oil floats pump it into a tank let it settle and pump the oil off the top. There are other ways like a DIP surface skimmer, Look it up and research it.

Well they tried to use it but the coast guard said the ship was too big to collect enough oil and that the smaller boats was doing better, But the Crew of the whale says the ship couldn't collect enough oil because by the time they got down there the cost guard and BP had went to work spraying dispersant s making it very difficult to reach the surface oils..

Whale ineffective due to dispersant s
