BP: New Cap Going on Today; Costs Up to $3.5B
Washington Regulators say they won't stand it the way. I don't think that will be good for those who have claims....what say you? |

BP turned $20 Billion over to a federal mediator to pay claims. BP has NO say in who gets paid. They have promised more $$$ if necessary, but we'll see.

I'd sell stuff that I had that would bring a fair price. Their biggest asset is their reserves and holdings... Sell them at best dollar to maintain/ enhance liquidity... It would also be good if people would buy their product instead of knee-jerk boycotting them out of personal frustration and ignorance of simple economics. Every business needs sales to survive .Reserves are only good untill utized or consumed. We need this company to survive so that they can keep the promise they have made to everyone's benefit... They screwed up to an epic level. I think they know that. Be mad . Fine . Don't be stupid... The ones who screwed up will and should be crucified/ jailed for a long time or worse...Good corporations are vital to our way of life. BP will learn, pay and hopefully improve.. I'm done...

I'm sure BP has already set aside a certain amount of money for the clean up. They want to continue to do business in this country.
But, if this clean up drags along with all the government rules and regulations long enough, BP, at some point, will balk, quit paying, and go bankrupt. ![]() Probably BP is divided up into many smaller corporations. The whole company will not go under, maybe just BP America. BP Britain will survive. Sea-r-cy |

BP stock has gone up 30% in the last week. They are however, beginning to sell some of their reserves.
