Called Trade Winds this Am and voice mail indicated that they were open Monday -Friday hours XXX.

Drove from Milton, 45 minutes to look at Glockonly to find a sign on the door "closed today". A sign that by looking at has been used many times before. At least they could update their voice mail that they are closed today so people do not drive 1.5hours round trip only to find out they are closed. Poor business practice!! If you are going to have a business with voice mail up date your voice mail to let people know you are not open that day, very easy to do!! Willnotbe going back. If you have a business with hours be open.

Kind of harsh to say you're not going back to a business because of what was probablya simple mistake. Ever think maybe something happened, death in the famiily or what not that caused the business to be closed unexpectedly or maybe somebody just forgot to update the voicemail.

I have never purchased from Trade Winds but just based on my conversations with them I know when I need to make a purchase they will be oneof the first ones I consider, you can't find nicer people when it comes to assisting you over the phone and answering your questions. They also have some of the best prices in town when I have called around to compare.Sorry you feel this way.

No disrespect but if it was 1.5 hour drive round trip Ida talked to someone on the phone first, I dont care what their voicemail says. Maybe they had an emergency or something and had to leave, there is no reason to blast a company on the internet when the whole reason. And I also dont shop nor have ever been there but they seem to be a very well manage business from the positive feedback that is always on the forum about them.

As I said, the sign on the door was not new. It has been used many times before, you can tell by looking at it.Also it does not take 2 minutes to add to your voice mail.

Dont blast them until you know the reason why they werent open! guess you have never made a mistake or had something come up or anything like that huh? maybe a honest mistake...if you dont know the reasoning dont throw them under the bus!

Miles is a great guy to deal with . must of had something come up . never had a bad experience with him . you"ll pay more else were. just my 2 cents.

I own a business and I don't make a new sign every time I am going to be closed, I use the same one, why wouldn't I? Miles is a great guy and and I love going there and just talking to him about guns.I assume you have never been there, if you had you would know there is not a minute of the day where there is less then 3 people in line, he gets slammed all day fora reason, he's awesome and so are his prices and selection.I'm sure he won't miss you, but you will miss out on some great prices if you boycot him because he forgot to change his voice mail.

Can't beat Tradewinds. Miles is a great guy.There again if I called and just got voice mail I would keep calling till I got someone if I had that far to drive.He is pretty much a one man operation so if an emergency comes up or if he has to run down the road for something he has to close.You are not going to beat his service. I either deal with Miles or Tommy at Gulf Coast Outdoors in Pace. I dont think by bashing him on here is going to effect his business, most of us here know he is a stand up guy.

Dealt w/ Miles numerous times also but please remember he owns the place, its not a corporate place so emergency, or what not could have happened. Sorry you drove that far but like Chase said, you should speak to a human before traveling...sorry again.

I understand you being upset over that. If you give Mile's another chance you won't regret it! Just so you know he's a one man band and that's why he can sell at such good prices. Most of the time it's standing room only in his store, so sometimes there's a wait when you get there, but again Mile's is a great knowledgable guy. I've purchased around 10 gun's from him in the last 2 yrs. and that's the first place I'll go for another one.Ken
