Default Honda 75hp and ethanol

Saw an ad for a honda 4 stroke he said wont run thanks to ethanol. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Sounds to me like the carbs just need to be rebuilt. Thanks

I may be wrong but I thought the 4 stroke hondas are fuel injected. Are you sure its carbed?

Im not sure if its injected or carbed. Would ethanol screw up an injected one, I thought it was like a car motor

Its more then likely another issue wrong with it in which hes just blaming an "ethanol issue". I would do a compression test and get more details of why its an "ethanol issue". Whatever issue is going on not running, planning, leaking gas, etc. Look into that issue and see if its worth fixing vs. price hes selling it for. Just my 2 cents.

And try clearing out the fuel filters and running some fresh gas. If its just a craptastic ethanol problem, it could very well be that simple
