Does anyone here beside me realize that Marco Rubio is not eligible to be VP because he is not a natural born citizen?

Could you bring yourself to vote for Romney knowing that his VP pick is not constitutionally eligible?

Crab Man, you probably want to read up on how that went down. It wasn't like that at all. We live in a new day where manipulation seems to be the status quo and that bill was a prime example.

He was born in 1971 in Miami, FL to parents that were citizens of Cuba and were not US citizens at the time. His parents were not naturalized until 1975. Had they been naturalized (thus American citizens) before his birth he would be eligible to run for VP.

As much as I like Rubio as a politician, he is not eligible to be POTUS thus not eligible to be VPOTUS.

Rubio's children will be eligible to serve as POTUS and VPOTUS because Rubio and his wife are both US citizens.


Aside from this, if he were chosen as VP running mate it would BLOW UP BIG TIME in the faces of the entire republican party due to the "birther" issue and Obama's ineligibility.

Rubio's parents were in the U.S. legally at the time of his birth. Therefore, Marco Rubio is a U.S. citizen.

Yeah sorry but your reasoning is way off. As long as his parents are in the U.S. legally when he is born, he is eligible. Even if someone's parents aren't legal, but they give birth to him in the U.S., he is still a citizen of the U.S.
