email notifications to subscribed threads

I have email notifications turned off for subscribed threads, by default.

If there a way to enable that feature for a particular thread after the fact?

Try Thread Tools at the top of the thread and Subscribe to Thread and select instant email notification. Im not sure if it will just do that one thread or not.
