Default Computer Gurus??

Well my mom updated her computer to the new service pack 2 and it's the Vista operating system.

Now it says she is connected to the internet but when she opens up I/E it says she's not connected. I've system restored and it works for a day, restarted, disconnected and reconnected, and everything i can think of. I googled it and can't get any info on it.

Just seeing if anyone has had this problem and fixed it.

IE has an "offline mode" that it sometimes gets stuck in when the connection wasnt previously available. Try taking it out of "offline mode"

open IE then go to tools, options, connection, then at the bottom left it will say lan setting click on that and make sure there is only a check mark in auto detect not any of the other boxes, rogue anti-virus programs change those all the time. Then download and run malwarebytes its free.Good Luck

If all else fails, simply remove IE and then re-install it.
