Default Birding forum?

Think there is enough interest to start another topic? As it is now, don't know where to post on this subject - Off Topic? Hunting? General Discussion? Maybe a "Birds and Banded Water Snakes" section?

Hey guys,

This may be going over our heads. But is there anything we can actually assist with?
If that section is wanted I can bring it to the mods team.

Please let us know,

Richard.

I know this is a fishing forum, but while fishing, we get to see lots of bird life, either inshore or offshore. Some birds are very common, but do some uncommon things, etc. Several members report on the hummingbird migration. Others post pics of tired migrating birds that landed on their boats far out in the Gulf. I've seen several floating in the Gulf that didn't make it, such as the only scarlet tanager I've ever seen.

Hunters spend many quiet hours on stand, and they get to see plenty of birds, sometimes very upclose - like the red-tailed hawk I saw attacking a barred owl. Or the tiny kinglet that landed on my shoulder.

Then there was the 4 day trip to Appalach where we counted 14 bald eagles, with 4 soaring together over West Pass.

Or the blue-footed boobies and frigate birds at the Panama City jetties.
And the Mississippi kites flying with the swallow-tailed kites in front of a storm.

How about the Great Blue Heron (Pterodactyl) that tried to catch my jumping speckled trout?

And what about....... ?

Hey guys,

If there are enough of you on here that would legit like a bird section, this is definitely something that we can take to the mods for discussion.

We tend to keep our heads in the digital clouds a lot of the time so sometimes tone and jokes fly right by us when we're so zeroed in on finding and fixing issues.
