Default wtb stereo/amp

ok, so im in the process of replacing the stereo in my 99 jimmy. I just bought a subwoofer and box, now i need a head unit (preferably with cd/usb/ipod,iphone accessibility) and an amp sufficient for a 10" subwoofer... i can always order from crutchfield but am trying to go a little cheaper first

Fairly decent deals on CL. I have found some other decent deals at a few places in Pensacola. I got a MTC class D mono amp and jackhammer when circuitcity went outta buisiness. I also have 2 8" kicker comp cvr, and a kicker class D mono amp, but I have plans eventually, lol. Head unit? I am looking at the one at bestbuy, but crutchfield is cheaper!

I have a kemwood class d amp. I will need to check the specs on it. I have not used in a long time. I had it powering a single 12" and it was perfect. I also have a 1farad capacitor that I never installed and it is still brand new, just collecting dust

They are a waste and look good being a waste. They are a non battery that takes juice from your batery and store it moments at a time and it let's the burst of juice out over and over again.... supposed to help with dim lights..... big waste doesn't fix anything its a bandaid at best.

If you want into car audio and do it right and decent. Find a quality class d amp for subs and a/b amp for mids highs.
Do the big 3 for the grounds and run quality power wires walmart sells shit and not true wire size. I works but not great quality just wire.

If you run a lot of amp you may consider adding a battery in rear real close to the amps and upgradeing your alternator to a higher amperage to compensate the added strain placed on the charging system...

I'm no pro by any means but I know how to get it done with the best of them.

All done myself. So I'm sure I could help a little

Lol yea it was a little bit excessive but was fun ... haven't seen another work van since with thousands of dollars of audio since I sold the van for scrap lol...

best advice is get proper dash kit for head unit and proper wireing kit. And if you have steering wheel controls to get proper fittings to retain steering wheel controls.
