yak in the gulf?

i just got me a new 12 foot ascend sit on top couple weeks ago and have been fishing in the bays and doing good i have fished the gulf when it was 1-2 i have heard of people fishing it when it was 2-4 anyone who has did your yak tke on water? i do alot of pier fishing and want to fish the bouy line past the pcola pier soon.

I have a Hobie, so mine does not take on any water. Dry as a bone inside.

I also have a Hobie. I have been in 4' seas with no trouble but I did get wet.
