Default What are your thougts about the Wave Walk?

I'm new to this sport. I don't own a kayak, yet. I came across this kayak and would like any comments or suggestion about this boat. I'm not affiliated with this company. http://www.wavewalk.com/

I've not seen one in person but that's pretty cool looking. Definitely a neat niche they are trying to fill. See if you can find a shop within driving range that has one and demo it.

definately a different idea for yakin. I might demo it just to see what its like but i'd never buy it, free sure, but for money nah. One wrong wave in that thing and no time to bail it, hope you got those arms and legs warmed up for a swim. Probably pretty solid for strictly creeks and backwaters.

The Wave Walk is pretty crude. There is a guy on the Jacksonville Kayak board who pushes them so you might contact him. Jeffery McGovern.

I paddled (well, sort of paddled) one when they first came out. I was pretty hot to buy one at the time but, after that first ride, I'd had enough. I didn't like straddling the hump and I never quite got the motion to paddle the WW. I already had a few years yaking in both SIS and SOTs so I may have already been ruined.

The company owner, Yohav Rosen seems to be mostly salesman rather than a yaker.

If you are looking for a first yak, the WW might be for you as you haven't already gotten use to a SIS or SOT yak.
