Default Weekend Kayak/Fishing/Camping Trip

Hey everybody. I'm new to the forum even though I've been reading posts for awhile.

Three of us took an overnight kayak/camping trip this past Friday and Saturday. We launched the kayaksfrom the small boat launch at the Gulf Island National Seashore at Johnson Beach and moved against the wind eastward toward Ft. Mcree over the course of the next 6 hours, fishing along the way. Spent the night in a tent by the southernmost rock jetty at the pass. Caught a large spanish (no pic), a decent black drum (also no pic)and 3 good sized reds from the shore. Headed back the next morning with the wind to our backs and it only took 4 hours to return. Had a great time that we will remember for the rest of our lives.

good times indeed, and you WILL remember that trip forever...

We canoed and camped for a week one time over in MS and LA (Bouge Chitto) as teenagers and I've always wanted to do something like that again.
