Default New Reel 704z

Well I bought an old 704z. It was beat up pretty bad so I had it resurfaced and Cerakoked by Tim at Baywatch and I just assembled it so i thought I would share it.

It'll look better with a painted handle.

-Jonathan.

He charged $30. The finish is good, if you want to clean the reel up all the way you should fill pits with bondo or some filler then sand smooth. He blasted this reel, there were some areas inside the case where the old grease wasn't removed by the blaster so be sure to clean the reel really well before you give it to anyone to redo. Don't forget to include the handle when you get the body done. Overall the finish looks great and the color is a 98% match to what the body looks like when you blast it down to the bare metal, I know becuase I compared it to a case I blasted and it was almost identical.

New 704z to you...that thing has the stylish design of a old Chevy Impala. I actually got to hold it in my hand and feel it's smooth contours.

I still think you should drill it out and make a Penn-Stahl...

That looks great Jonathon. I like those old green ones. The one I had is serving its final years as a tiny artificial reef about half a mile off Ft Pickens Beach
