Morning Kayak Flats Report - 5/2/09

Launched in the sound at around 7:00 this morning and started out working topwater. Got this redfish to start the day:

After that, got a few trout:

Later, I got another red on a spoon on my baitcaster:

Back at home around noon.

Not to sound like I'm stealing your spots, but about how deep do you like to fish for reds with topwater? I've never caught a red on topwater, only trout. I've had the best luck throwing a walking bait in about 3-10 feet of water. Same for reds? Thanks and great job.
