Default Miramar Beach Launch

Lugged the Castaway on vacation and waited for the surf to go down to launch since two weekends ago it was dead flat. This was my first attempt at launching in the gulf as i typically fish bay type water Thankfully the beach is light traffic in AM as the first flip cost me a pole. Made it out though and realized just how dangerous this can be. Glad I at least got out and will need to work on those launches some.

Yeah, you need to time it and also make sure all your gear is secured in case you flip. Some people will swim their kayaks out past the waves and hop on. I usually just go about waist deep or past the shore breaks and time it for a calm period. Good luck

also a cord attatchment to poles is great something like a phone cord that recoils used them on mine never flipped but dropped poles in shallow water just to see (8feet) and it worked great and worked great when reelin in a fish just,,, used a zip tie on pole and quick clips to secure each end
