Can anyone offer some local insight on why the for sale section seems flooded with PA's? Are they going out of favor, or are there just so darned many of them out there that the used market is that big?
I'm in the market for a new boat next year, so I was perusing "for sale" just looking at what people are using, and the ratio of PA's seemed really high to me.
They're expensive, pretty danged heavy, & ya gotta store 'em.
I imagine some (not all) folk bought 'em and after a year or two or three find themselves just not using them that much.
For others it could be the economy ... you find yourself in a financial bind & the toys, of course, are the first thing to go. (can't sell the kids, after all. That's illegal.)
Thanks guys, very reasonable guesses. I moved to Alaska this year, and PAs are not a very popular boat in the PNW. I guess I lost my sense for just how many of them are in circulation down in Florida!
