I called about a Outback that was posted on mbkfa.com, and it sold the day after it was posted. It was priced well at $1000, which had alot to do with it selling so fast.

I strongly recommend Key Sailing on Pensacola Beach. Kirk and staff are great. They really take care of their customers.

Triple C,

As much as Id like a new one, I just cant justify paying full retail. I've seen too many "like new" kayaks for considerably less than new. I'll just have to wait until a good deal comes along.

If you get an Outback , get an '08 model or newer , there have been Hull issues with some of the older models ... YES Hobie will replace any defective Drive parts , but you will have to wait :banghead ... Key Sailing is your best option locally :letsparty

You guys know where a used sit on top might be? Im having a hard time finding a used outback, so I might just try to find something I'd have to paddle for now, until I can afford a new Outback. Id be very interested in a Malibu or a Native

+1 for Sunjammers Watersports in Panama City. Brad is a kayak fanatic.

Malibu's are a little hard to come by. There were not a lot sold in the area. There was a dealer in Gulf Shores that went out of business last fall and supposedly there is a part time dealer in Gulf Breeze area. Craigs list for the area from Biloxi to Tallahassee is what I watched to find my XFactor. I can't say enough how pleased I am with it for a paddle yak. Very stable platform for a bigger guy like me. I have been fishing in the wind all this week. Definitely will handle the wet type rides very well. The best Malibu makes is the Stealth for layout and Gulf fishing. It may be faster than the Xfactor. They are selling the Stealth 14 on Ebay for around 1200 and cheap shipping. I have only ever seen one Stealth on Craigs list in Orlando area. There is a Tarpon 15 on Craigs list in Destin and 2 Hobie paddlers, one for 600 and one for 800(Texs new one).

Someone on here can tell you about the Tarpon 15. They want 795 for it, but might take 650, since they have had no takers. I would get them to email you exactly what you get in the deal in an email, so you have the list when you make the trade for cash. My deal, the seller said a paddle and showed up without one and said he never said that over the phone. Liar. Not that I needed one, but could have sold it to someone else further reducing my investment cost.

Good luck.
