Launched east of Portofino around 8-8:30am. Amazing looking water with very little surf. Wind died down to nothing and it actually got hot around noon. We slow trolled some squid and some live Hot Spots eels with no luck. Fishfinder marked some fish but we never saw any. Couldn't ask for a better day to be out on the water. Temp was 64+ degrees and I saw 68 around noon, but my transducer's in the hull so that probably screwed the numbers a bit. Won't be long though for sure.

Thanks for the report Joe,
I had hoped someone with a kayak would report a first catch, but apparently somone with a boat did off Pcola beach. They caught aling as reported on Outcast facebook page. Next week Wed. and Thurs. look like good gulf days. I intend to get out there for suremyself. Portofino, here I come. |
