Default FF transducer install tip

For those of you looking to marine goop transducers on your yaks, I just figured out a great way to keep it clean and looking good. Instead of buying a $50 install kit, go buy a $2 pair of flip flops and make your own cutout. Works like a charm.

Great idea. Wished I would've used it. Mine is protected by pool noodles strapped around it.

Amazon.com had the foam cut-out for less than $4. Though the flip flop is a great idea.

Good idea. I buy 1.5 inch thick polyethylene foam off ebay and make my templates with it.

Look up the Hobie replacement transducer pad. Grey cut out that's a perfect fit. $3.19 at Austin Kayak

Looks good. I didn't think of flip flops. I went with the plumbers putty install. Haven't tried it out yet but will soon.
