Thought I would share an idea I came up with to fasten my crate to the yak without bungees or straps. I had a 3/4" PVC antenna mount and had a 3/4" PVC cap for it. I mounted the antenna mount in the tankwell, fixture centered on where the crate would go. I cut a flange out of some spare yak plastic that fits snugly over the mount fixture.
So I placed the crate over the mount fixture, place the flange over the mount fixture and then screw the cap down to keep it snug. Crate now is firmly attached to the yak with no straps, bungees, etc. |
