Default 7/3/09 report

Got to Navarre pier around 7:00 and headed straight for the bait wads. Managed to catch a handful of cigs and speedos quickly. I paddled out away from the pier and was hooking up my first bait when I noticed something to my right, I turned and look and 3 cobia were circle CLOSE to the yak...close enough the biggest of the three rubbed its back on the bottom of the yak. I pitched a live bait out to them and they immediatley when for it but they something was wrong, they wanted to eat it so bad but I think the wire leader had them spooked. Ended up catching 3 niced sized bonita and one small king then the tarpon showed up. A buddy of mine and I chased them down the beach for about a mile, during the chase he got one to eat twice but couldnt get a hook in the fish and I managed to get one to eat a super spook, he gave me on jump and threw the hook. Not a bad day, when the action was there it was fast.

Yes it's a pro angler and let me say that I am very impressed with Hobie's innovation. The only thing that I'm not exactly thrilled with is the weight, but with a set a wheeleez I can launch it anywhere I want. The comfort and ease on the water by far out weighs dealing with a heavy kayak on land. I love the fact that I can stand and fish in it and the seat is incredibly comfortable. I would reccomend anybody who is interested to at least test drive one, its a diffrent experience.
