Went to the woods yesterday to try to get another. I shot a small ratty little 4 point a week or so ago. Got to my stand about 4:00 and right when I went to climb the sticks I got blown. They have been showing up around 4:30 so I just thought damn they were early today. Eased up the sticks and got locked in. Within 5 minutes I had a doe and two yearlings feeding all around me. They stayed out there for over an hour and the doe even beaded down on my plot for about 10 min while the little ones feed. She was only 10 yards from me just enjoying the afternoon sun. Well they walk off and about 15 minutes before dark a big fat nanny walks out on my downwind side. Thank God for scentlok. I didn't have much cover on that side so I had to stay sitting down to shoot. She got about 20 yards away and turned her head and looked away form me. I drew my bow and the two blade rage put the smackdown on her. Man I love those broadheads. She ran in the woods and I heard her pile up about 40 yards in.Not long to track her one heck of a blood trail. Actually found a pretty cool shed from last year while looking for her. So far the Hoyt and Rage broadheads are 2 for 2 this year. This bow hunting stuff is totally addicting!!! Good luck to all the rest of the season. Sorry no pics.

Nice job bro, I shot one Sat. morn, but couldnt find her!! Me and Jimmy only found two drops of blood in about 1 1/2 hrs of looking!!! Are those Rage broadheads fixed or mechanical?? I cant take anymore chances of actually getting a shot, and then no blood!!

Yea Tony get a pack of the 100GR two blade rages. It looks like you hit the deer with a hatchet when you smack them. I made a great shot on this deer but the 4 point was at 35 yards and quartering toward me. I hit him a little far back and probably would not have found the deer if it wasn't for all the blood. The only thing you have to watch with the rage is it is a slipcam design and if you bump a branch raising your bow the blades can come loose from the O ring. I haven't had it happen but I can see where it could. If I was stalk hunting or something I would choose a different broadhead like a Muzzy but for sitting in a stand you can't beat them. Tell Jimmy I said Hi.

Don't look for the Rage broadheads at Mike's, they are sold out. Anybody know who has the 2-blade Rage in stock?
